The magic of a gift doesn’t come just from the actual product, the occasion, the things you gave up to afford it, the functionality or even the glamour; it is the essence of the surprise, the curiosity to open and destroy the packaging like a toddler when you can’t wait to see the contents of that glorious box. Multiply this feeling by ten, subtract all costs, and you’ll get this exciting what’s-my-gift feeling every month, and maybe even gift this feeling to that special lady in your life–your loving mom. This may sound a bit too dreamy but trust me, I’m 100% reliable and honest.

One of my favorite memories?

London SW1, 2010. Me working on my dissertation, mom waking up in the middle of the night, preparing sandwiches for both of us (even if we were so full, we could barely breathe), drinking some wine and then wearing a jacket over our loungewear (not caring at all about other people looking strangely at us) and walking around town at 3am with my lovely Yorkie. Priceless. #GLOSSYMAMA
