I’ve tried just about everything to stand by my start-exercising New Year’s resolution, from publicly announcing it to friends and family—which didn’t work—to stuffing a mason jar with visual cues to serve as a constant reminder (don’t ask). In short, nothing’s been as motivational as some new Champion workout gear. There’s something about slipping on a pair of tights and a tee specially designed for comfort. What got the ball rolling was the year’s first workout outfit (workoutfit?) from Champion—a soft cotton tee in a pretty burgundy and some knee tights. First, the details: the long sleeve tee is a semi-loose fit, doesn’t restrict any movement, is stretchy enough to keep up with the strangest of yoga positions, and is 100% cotton & tag-free. It’s perfect over a sports bra so you can adjust to the temperature when the workout gets a little heated. The tights are made with Silky Double Dry fabric to wick off sweat and keep you cool and dry, are also tag free and have side panels that visually slim down your silhouette. Talk about motivation! I want to point out the wearability of this particular style (CH8240) because it fit like a glove but didn’t cause any pressure or discomfort, even going into some of my longer sets which occasionally do happen.
Apparently, once you start working out, athletic apparel is like shoes—you hoard it—and the cost can add up, so I’m thankful for Champion coupon codes to take some of the load off. There’s a free shipping coupon code until 2/13 and a special for sports bras and fitness bottoms starting at $14.99. This outfit got me up and moving (and occasionally sitting down to look up the next workout video on YouTube), but if I knew all along that all it would take to enforce my most challenging resolution was an outfit, I’d have made this resolution years ago!
If you haven’t started already, you have to get to working out. I know, I know; it’s rough getting back into the routine. After all, we’ve all been hibernating since early November. That’s five straight months of sleeping in, slothing around, and eating more than our fair share of indulgent foods.
It’s ok, though, with some dedication and determination, we can turn our doughy exteriors and harden them up. Well, with those things and some help from the pros over at AFG Fitness. There you can find all the cardio equipment to help you get into the shape you want for summertime.
Personally, I like cardio more than I like weight lifting. It doesn’t bulk up your muscles, but it cuts your fat and tones everything, not to mention brings up your endurance like crazy. If you couple that with some lifting here and there, you’ll be in prime conditioned in no time.
